Power Yoga
There are many styles of Yoga, at Glamazon we use a unique blend of Sivananda, Ashtanga Vinyasa and Iyengar – Sun Power Yoga.
Yoga is wonderful for toning the whole of the body, focusing the mind and taking you to a pleasant level of relaxation. When you release the tension in the body everything becomes easier to cope with, your mind becomes clear and balance is restored……
The class begins with Meditation to focus the mind and then moves into Pranayama (breathing techniques) to harness Prana (life force energy).
The warm-up is classical Surya Namaskar (Salute to the Sun) followed by the Power Yoga section which tones and strengthens and stretches all the muscles and joints in the body. The seated postures incorporate developing flexibility whilst massaging the organs and improving core strength.
We end with Savasana (corpse pose) to release any tension and allow the energy to settle and store in the body.
